From 17th July to 8th August 2019, my family visited the United States and Canada. One of my unforgettable memories from the trip was the day we went to watch a baseball game at Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles. It was the first time I watched a baseball game in person.
We went to the Stadium by shuttle bus from an MTR station. There was a long line waiting for the bus. Most of the people in the line wore a cap and T-shirt with the L.A. Dodgers team logos, even kids. I wanted a hat too! And a baseball! So, the first thing when we got to the Stadium was to buy a hat for me and two baseballs for Anna and me. I chose a blue hat, with “LA” on it.
During the game, whenever Dodgers scored, Anna and I stood up and shouted “Yeah!”, just like the other fans did. We were even lucky enough to witness a “home run” by Dodgers! And it was really exciting to see the famous pitcher Clayton Kershaw in person.
At first Dodgers had a 6-2 lead, but then the score became 6-6! Everybody got anxious. But it was almost 9pm, and Mommy said we had to go as we had to catch an early train to San Diego the next morning. Oh, I really wanted to stay! But Mommy was the boss. Later we knew Dodgers won that night in the end.
It was really exciting to watch a baseball game. Next time I’m going to watch the whole thing. Whenever I thought of that day, I took out my Dodgers cap and put it on, and it felt like I was back in the Stadium again!
